In the East Waluga Park project, Romtec worked with Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation to design, supply, and install a restroom structure in our “turnkey replacement” services.
Located in Lake Oswego, Oregon, Waluga Park is divided into east and west sections. Both parks feature natural, wooded areas as well as developed park spaces for guests to enjoy. Waluga Park East features two baseball diamonds, a park with play structures for younger and older children, and BMX trails for the adventurous guests.
The Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation Department wanted an improved park structure to replace the existing restroom building at the Waluga Park East and came to Romtec for our help. One of Romtec’s strengths is the ability to value engineer a structure without compromising on features, and when the restroom building for this project came in over budget, we were able to re-engineer the structure at a more agreeable price point without compromising on quality.
The Romtec supplied restroom structure features four ADA compliant family restrooms and a central mechanical room. It is composed of split face block in two shades, with the lower 5 courses of block in a Pewter shade and the remaining block in a Glacier shade for an aesthetic mix of colors. The doors and door frames in the block continue a cool, neutral color scheme with an Attitude Gray hue, and the black metal roofing adds contrast to the structure.
To improve the building, Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation opted for an insulated, climate-controlled structure to improve the users experience in every season. The interior walls are finished with white tile that is easy to clean and brightens the interior of the restrooms. In addition to insulation and quality finishes, our customer also opted for high efficiency toilets and dual-flush flushometers that help to conserve water.
As a part of our Turnkey Replacement services, Romtec handled nearly every aspect of the installation, from demolishing of the existing structures to providing permits, and constructing the building on-site at Waluga Park East. Our crew are experts at installing our building packages, and can reduce the time spent on site and skillfully solve problems.
The successful installation of the new restroom by our crew has provided Waluga Park East with a new restroom structure to serve guests, and has met the needs of our customer. Romtec would like to thank the Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation for coming to us with this project; we look forward to being able to work with you on future turnkey replacement projects.
