Romtec designed, supplied, and constructed a lodge-style building for the Marble Mountain Sno-Park near Cougar, Washington. The park is located on the southern side of Mount St. Helens and is frequented by snowmobilers, cross country skiers, and other winter sport enthusiasts. The building is used as a warming shelter to escape from the cold throughout the day and is actually a replacement for an existing log shelter that had burned down in 2011. Years of fundraising and working to secure grants for the construction of a new shelter finally paid off in 2018 when the new building was completed. The building is heated with a uniquely decorated stove installed on a raised concrete foundation. Guard rails around the stove to increase safety and prevent accidental contact with skin and objects. Board and Batten siding was selected for the exterior of the building and gives the building a woodsy look. Romtec worked directly with the United States Forest Service on this project, but credit is also due to the local clubs who have been fighting to replace the old building since 2011.
