Romtec was contacted by the United States Forest Service for the design, supply, and install of a rustic log pavilion. The shelter covers several picnic tables at the Brush Creek Visitor Center in Wyoming, near the western edge of Medicine Bow National Forest. The Visitor Center is home to the Brush Creek Trailhead and a historic cabin built by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Inside the National Forest visitors can hike along the trails and take in the diverse landscapes the park has to offer. Backpackers and others planning an overnight trip can enjoy dispersed camping throughout the park but are encouraged to cause as little of an impact on the wilderness as possible. The design of Romtec’s pavilion reflects the natural landscapes surrounding it while offering the durability to handle heavy snow loads common at this altitude. Even more weather protection is afforded with the large wind screen on the pavilion’s west wall. The pavilion is a great addition to the already impressive Visitor Center.
