Romtec designed, supplied, and installed a large new steel pavilion at Liberty Park in Kansas City, Missouri. Liberty Park is a 17-acre park with a ballfield, playground, and plenty of open space. The new Romtec shelter includes several features to improve energy efficiency with design features to give it a breathtaking appearance. Solar panels are installed on the roof of the building to provide a reliable source of sustainable power for the lighting in the pavilion. The addition of solar power in the structure required Romtec to install an enclosure in the roof structure to protect it from being meddled with. Full height column wraps of ledgestone, colored metal roofing, and steel roof trusses give this pavilion a unique and appealing aesthetic. This addition to Liberty Park is one of many improvements the Kansas City Parks & Recreation department is working on as part of their master plan!
