Peralta Regional Park is Pinal County’s first owned and operated regional park.
Sitting among the Superstition Mountains in Gold Canyon, Arizona this park consists of 498 acres of recreation including 31 tent sites, 18 picnic sites, a non-motorized trail and interpretive trail.
Only four miles from the suburban metro area of Phoenix, this park provides a unique opportunity for residents to interact with their environment.
Romtec provided four waterless restrooms to Pinal County.
This project was brought to Romtec by EPG’s planning + landscape architecture (design) studio. EPG was looking for a restroom manufacturer who could deliver a site-built waterless building without the use of a crane. Romtec was selected based on the delivery of materials for conventional construction which allowed for little disturbance of the natural surroundings.
There are three single unisex restrooms that feature concrete block wall siding, matching the color of Arizona’s Superstition Mountains with gable windows, and a roof with a solar powered poly vent.
The other waterless restroom includes two unisex units with vaulted toilets, a concrete block wall, polycarbonate gable windows, and two poly vents.
The buildings were designed and manufactured by Romtec and delivered to the site for construction by the local contractor, Overley’s. Headquartered in Gilbert, Arizona, Overley’s handles a diverse array of construction projects and holds the title as Arizona’s first hazardous waste transporter.
This rugged park keeps its original landscape features that are sure to show off the wonder of the Superstition Wilderness, the Tonto National Forest, and Arizona’s glistening starry sky.
