The City of Petaluma needed a concession restroom building for the development of the Petaluma Sports Complex. Originally, the sports complex was proposed in 1989, but did not move forward until 2007 when funding was approved. The Petaluma Sports Complex would help drive tourism through tournaments while benefitting the local community. The park was opened to the public after the second of three phases of construction was completed. During the first two phases of construction several park features were completed including the synthetic, lighted athletic fields, baseball diamonds, and the concession building Romtec supplied. The third and final phase will complete the remaining site work and finishing details. Petaluma Sports Complex has been well received by the community and is used by sports leagues in town for practices and tournaments.
