Serving as the entrance to the "Splash Zone," a splash park and water playground, the Romtec multipurpose building includes concessions, office space, family restrooms, shower and locker rooms, and a mechanical room for the splash pad pumping equipment and chemicals. After the masonry of the Romtec building is complete and the glulam roof system is done, the notches for the glulam hold down brackets need marked, notched, and placed in the CMU. This video reviews the steps for notching the brackets in the CMU correctly to prevent any gaps between the top of the CMU and the bottom of the rafters and filler beams.

After filling the CMU walls with grout, it is time to set the glulam beams in place. The Romtec construction crew first lays down the vapor barrier and then ensures the proper alignment of the beams.
