Mead, Colorado is a small town about 40 minutes north of Denver which features a variety of beautiful lakes and views of the Rocky Mountains to the west.
This outdoor playground is an hour from Rocky Mountain National Park that has numerous mountains, lakes, and hiking trails.
The Highland Lake Recreation Area is in Mead, Colorado and provides recreational opportunities at Lorin Mead Park which is located adjacent to the lake. The Town of Mead implemented an improvement project at Lorin Mead Park with the help of a grant that added a parking lot, sidewalks, fencing, bathrooms, and a fishing pier.
Mead purchased the one-acre park site in 2016 that provided recreational rights to the lake, which features non-motorized boating, fishing, picnicking, and wildlife viewing.
Romtec, Inc. provided the Model 1016 restroom building that has two unisex restrooms, a roof extension, and solar vent fan for the vault waterless restrooms.
The restroom features a skylight, a metal roof, CMU split face concrete block wall, and timber truss and posts that highlight the roof overhang.
Romtec worked with Design Concepts on the drawings and specifications for this building. Design Concepts was the landscape architect and project driver who is based out of Lafayette, Colorado.
Arrow J Landscape & Design was the awarded general contractor and installation contractor. Arrow is based out Denver, CO and provides commercial landscape designs.
The Town of Mead, Colorado was a first-time client of Romtec but were happy with the final product of the design and supply of the building which we provided with Design Concepts.
