Jamestown is a city in southwest New York near Chautauqua Lake and it’s the largest city in Chautauqua County. Jamestown has a population of 28,000,and Lake Erie is about 27 miles to the northwest.
Interstate 86, State Route 60, and State Route 94 run through Jamestown while Chautauqua Lake provides a freshwater lake for fishermen and boaters. The New York and Pennsylvania border is less than 10 miles to the south of Jamestown.
Jamestown is a small city located at the southern point of Chautauqua Lake in Southwest New York where the lake turns into the Chadakoin River. The Allegany State Park is about 30 minutes to the east.
In Jamestown, there is a viewpoint called Erlandson Overlook Park which sits at an elevation of 2,040 feet, the 76-acre site overlooks surrounding hillsides and Chautauqua Lake.
Erlandson Overlook Park has a pavilion for picnics with restrooms, grassy areas, parking lot, two viewing platforms, and a walking trail. This park is owned and operated by Chautauqua County Parks. The Allegheny National Forest sits just to the south in Pennsylvania.

The Romtec restroom sits on a hill at a scenic viewing area providing visitors with comfortable facilities and park employees with maintenance and utility supply storage.
This restroom was designed to be very affordable and to provide reliable and durable facilities that will last for years to come.
