Wimberley, Texas is known as a village or small town in Hays County with a ranching industry on the outside areas of town.
The Blanco River runs through the town and provides opportunities for outdoor recreation. Wimberley sits between Austin and San Antonio.
Jacob’s Well Natural Area is another outdoor swimming spot that has an artesian spring and underwater caves. Blue Hole Regional Park is another forested park with Cypress Creek running by it with a basketball court and trails. Jacobs Well is another popular swimming place as this natural spring produces clear water.
In the small town of Wimberley, Texas, the Cypress Creek Nature Trail and Preserve provides a shady escape to the nearby Cypress Creek. Wimberley Square sits just to the west of the Cypress Creek Nature Trail and Preserve, featuring various shops, wine tasting rooms, a café, and several art galleries.
At the head of the nature trail, there is a park that provides visitors with pavilions, a playground, picnic tables, and restrooms. The walking trail along Cypress Creek connects to Blue Hole Regional Park.
For this site, Romtec supplied a simple unisex restroom and mechanical room with white local Texas limestone siding to match the existing pavilion and the local architecture, specifically the Taste Buds restaurant just across the road.
The single-user restroom features metal roofing, a covered entrance, kick resistant vent, Lexan windows, and wood beams and columns on a concrete pedestal with rock veneer wrap.
This restroom building matched the pavilion at the Cypress Creek Nature Trail, which is a common thing we see at Romtec, trying to match other buildings or structures within a park or campground for a unified overall look.
Our design team at Romtec will match another building, to meet your project needs or create a building that matches the landscape and surroundings, whichever you prefer. To learn more about creating a restroom building that fits your park and project needs, contact us today!
