The town of Cumberland needed a vaulted restroom for Diamond Hill Park. Cumberland is in Northeastern Rhode Island and is known as the largest town in the state.
Cumberland is about 17 miles north of Providence, Rhode Island which is the capital and most populous city in Rhode Island.
Diamond Hill is a tall hill sitting 481 feet above sea level inside Diamond Hill Park, which was a former ski area. The nearby Boston skyline can be seen on a clear day along with Mount Wachusett from the hill.
Diamond Hill Park is a gem of Rhode Island with 3.8 miles of trails up the rise of the big hill. The park gets its name from its mica-laden rocks that shine in the sunlight. Diamond Hill Park is located near reservoirs, farms, and residential areas.
The park was transferred to the state of Rhode Island around 1935 and was operated as a ski area from 1939 to the 1980’s until several years of disappointing snowfall. Eventually the Town of Cumberland took over the park in 1997.
The park is a popular venue for big events like the Cumberland Fest carnival and fair, and other major town events. The park features sport fields, picnic areas, a pond, and various hiking trails.
Romtec provided a Model 1015 double unisex vaulted restroom building featuring a metal roof, lap siding, gable windows, and a roof truss extension. There was no previous restroom building at the park.

Blueskies Construction & Design LLC was the installing contractor on behalf of the Town of Cumberland. Blueskies is a general contractor based in Lincoln, Rhode Island who provides a wide range of contracting services.
