Romtec designed, supplied, and constructed five public restrooms at Miller Knox Regional Shoreline in Richmond, California. Miller Knox is known for the beautiful vistas it offers of the Bay Area. A salt-water lagoon in the park is surrounded by a 1-mile trail perfect for running or cycling. Other trail systems meander through the park and connect the trailheads and parking areas to the shoreline. This park has two water access points, Keller Beach on the north side and Ferry Point to the south. These boat launches are both designated “trailheads” on the San Francisco Bay Water Trail, a network of water access sites in the Bay Area. This park previously offered single-occupant pit toilets, and Romtec provided multiple new plumbed restrooms with four private-entry bathrooms. The new restroom buildings were provided with full construction by Romtec through our CMAS contract, providing a low-cost design-build option for the East Bay Recreation and Park District. Community members and tourists alike can appreciate and enjoy the Miller Knox Regional Shoreline and the great views it offers!
