Zephyr Cove is a census designated place or small community on Lake Tahoe in Douglas County, Nevada. Near the California and Nevada state line, the community is located on the southeast side of Lake Tahoe.
Zephyr Cove is about an hour south of Reno, Nevada and about two hours from Sacramento, California. U.S. Highway 50 runs through Zephyr Cove connecting it with other parts of Lake Tahoe.
Lake Tahoe is located within the Sierra Nevada Mountain range which runs through central California. Some popular places in Zephyr Cove include the Zephyr Cove Resort, Zephyr Cove Day Use Area, Round Mound, Zephyr Cove Stable, Villa Harrah which is a historical landmark, and the Nevada Beach Day Use Area.
On the South shore of Lake Tahoe, Nevada beach is a popular destination for visitors to the lake. The park at this large sandy beach provides campgrounds and a day-use area where this large log pavilion is located. There are great views of Lake Tahoe which is near the timber pavilion.
The United States Forest Service – Lake Tahoe National Forest is the owner of Nevada Beach Campground and Day Use Area which features native pine trees along this beautiful beach area. Nevada Beach Day Use Area provides non-motorized boating, hiking, swimming, picnicking, windsurfing, and sand play.

The Nevada Beach Pavilion is 32’ x 60’ that has composition shingle roofing, log rafters and trusses, log columns, with open air sides that can serve up to 150 people, with 10 picnic tables, and BBQ stations.
