Romtec designed and supplied a large timber pavilion for the Paso Picacho Campground in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park. This state park has been slowly recovering since being devastated by a forest fire in 2003. Ninety percent of Cuyamaca Rancho was burned during the fire and the park is finally recovering thanks to extensive restoration efforts. The Paso Picacho Campground is one of multiple recreation sites in the state park and offers 85 traditional campsites, 5 rental cabins, and a large group campsite. The new Romtec pavilion was installed near the group campsite and is suitable for hosting large events and many people. Design features for the pavilion were selected to match the beautiful landscape of the park. Green metal roofing on the shelter resemble the many trees throughout the park while stone wraps on support columns match natural stones found in the park. Cuyamaca Rancho State Park is a beautiful destination that offers a variety of recreational activities to visitors in the Southern California area.
