The SilverRock Resort in La Quinta, California is an “Arnold Palmer Classic Course” with over 200 acres of greenway with native bunkers, stunning water features, and impressive views of the Santa Rosa Mountains. The Resort is currently undergoing further development to add features for a wider variety of guests, with plans for two hotels, a spa, homes, and more (“SilverRock Resort”, 2021). As a part of these plans, the City of La Quinta has added a venue site encompassing 14 acres that includes “walking paths, [a] sloped event lawn, water features, a modular recreation building” and a Romtec restroom to service venue site guests. (“SilverRock Venue Site”, n.d.)
For this project, McAuliffe & Co. Architects, Landscape Architect, contacted us to supply a restroom structure that would meet the needs of the City of La Quinta’s Silver Rock Resort area.
The City of La Quinta, particularly the Old Town, carries the “California Renaissance architecture that defines the beauty of [towns such as] Santa Barbara, Carmel [,] and the historic La Quinta Hotel and Resort”, with a bright white Stucco siding that gives the area a bright, lively, and classic California vibe (“About Us”, n.d.). To fit in with this aesthetic and the City of La Quinta, Romtec supplied a unique restroom structure with a single slope roof and bright white stucco siding.
The supplied restroom building contains Men’s and Women’s multi-user restrooms with the facilities to serve up to three guests simultaneously. The interior fixtures are high-use stainless steel fixtures that are damage and vandal resistant, and ideal in high traffic areas. The restroom building also features a central mechanical room that houses the plumbing, a water heater, and a mop sink for easy clean-up.
The Romtec building packages were constructed onsite by Urban Habitat, Contractor, whose hard work has completed a piece of the development, opened a new venue area for events, and opened a new park area for everyday outings. The Resort will continue to be developed in the upcoming years, adding more and more features to make the SilverRock resort a destination for City of La Quinta residents and guests alike.

This is amazing! The photos already gave me a tropical vibe, so inviting. Seeing a palm tree-lined entry effectively captures what people can expect from La Quinta. My favorite ones are the walkways that are creatively carved into the terrain, leading to different directions around the water feature. The Santa Rosa Mountains view seems inviting as well. I agree that bright white stucco will give the classic California vibe. But will I see that sunset? I bet it would add beauty to the area.
