In the Ski Beach Restroom project, Romtec supplied a multi-user restroom at Ski Beach Boat Ramp in Incline Village, Nevada. Ski Beach is located on the Crystal Bay in Lake Tahoe, and is located near the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, the Grand Lodge Casino, and the Sierra Nevada University.
Ski Beach is one of four beaches that are managed by the “Incline Village General Improvement District” (IVGID), and is accessible to “IVGID Picture Pass and Recreation Punch Card holders (with beach access), and their guests.” The four beaches managed by IVGID provide areas for pass holders to relax, play, and enjoy the lakeshore, with areas for boating, swimming, picnics, playgrounds, pools, and more. Ski Beach features a boat launching facility, kayak/canoe rental, bocce ball and volleyballs courts, picnic areas underneath lush trees, and a small beach area to soak up the sun. The lake and its shorelines are valuable natural areas, and Ski Beach was in need of a restroom structure for guests. Romtec supplied a restroom structure for Ski Beach with multi-user men’s and women’s restrooms, storage areas, and a mechanical room. The building is composed of both split face and smooth face block in a Dark Oak shade, with the split face block around the bottom of the structure as a wainscot. The smooth block in the walls is finished with a Stucco siding in a Moonlit Sand shade that is perfectly suited for the area.
To fit in with the aesthetics of Incline Village, the restroom structure features high end elements such as attractive and hardy tile flooring; powder coated doors, frames, and vents; and motion sensor flushometers and faucets. In addition to being attractive, these elements are also durable and improve the guests experience using the restroom.
Further improving guest experience, this structure has been designed with a covered entryway into the restrooms which shelters guests from the elements and provides a clear entry point to the public areas of the structure. Guests can also access safe drinking water from water fountains in the entryway, with fountains for both humans and their beloved pets.
Romtec’s expertise is providing attractive, functional buildings that are perfectly suited to the needs and aesthetics of an area. For Incline Village, Romtec was able to provide a building with a design that matched the natural beauty of Lake Tahoe’s shores while meeting the needs of guests and IVGID. The restroom building helps to cement Ski Beach as a destination for guests, with comfortable amenities that allow them to extend their visit and enjoy a long day on Lake Tahoe.
