The Villebois Community in Wilsonville, OR, boasts over 160 acres of parks and open space, while still being close to Interstate 5 and Portland. Developed by Polygon Homes, “[t]he Villebois Community is inspired by traditional European villages. Villebois is French for ‘village near the woods’, and offers something for everyone”, (2020).
With a clear intent for the design of this community, the architect, Pacific Community Design, came to Romtec for a building that would perfectly complement the surrounding homes.
The Romtec supplied building for Villebois Park is a custom multi-purpose building with a large storage room and a single-user restroom. It is composed of smooth face block in gray, with a siding package of fiber-cement Cedarmill board and batten and a stone wainscot wrapping around the building and extending up and around the entrance to the restroom. This design accentuates the restroom entrance and sets it apart from the storage room entrances. To top off the structure, a metal roofing was provided in Colonial Red, and Iko Stormshield was installed to further protect the roofing from damaging weather.
The restroom portion of this structure features a floor mount steel toilet and a steel sink that are well suited for high use environments. A stainless-steel trash fixture is also mounted on the wall to keep trash off of the floor and keep the restroom cleaner for everyone’s use.
Additionally, an aerosol odor control system sprays at intervals to keep the restroom smelling clean. The maintenance section of this building includes a regular steel door and frame, alongside a roll up door for easy equipment access to the storage room.
Robinson Concrete Pumping, Inc. constructed this restroom and maintenance building on site for Polygon Homes and the City of Wilsonville. The maintenance building will help the community’s parks to be easier to maintain with plenty of storage space for tools and supplies, and the restroom is sure to be a welcome feature for guests and families at the new park.
