Renovations at Worthy Park in Huntington Beach, California required a new, high-quality restroom building. This is a popular city park that is a namesake of Norman L. Worthy, an influential native of Huntington Beach responsible for acquiring over 600 acres of land and developing many of the city parks. Romtec designed and supplied a compact restroom building with two unisex restrooms and a large mechanical space for onsite storage. Another requirement of this project was to meet the visual design standards the City of Huntington Beach has in their parks. This included the addition of exterior design features like stucco with a ledgestone wainscot to match existing buildings throughout the park and the city. Other improvements at the park include the conversion of a basketball court into a new lighted pickleball venue, a new pavilion, and a new playground for children. Worthy Park is another great example of the City of Huntington Beach’s dedication to their community in providing excellent public parks.
