The Project
The city of Ontario, California required a small-sized utility building to house a municipal water well treatment facility. They required a heavy-duty structure with a substantial slab and walls that provide noise reduction. They also required a large opening to accommodate large equipment.
The Solution
Romtec designed a small 12’ 8” x 8’ 8” utility building that could accommodate all the necessary equipment above the city well. Using their dry-stack, split-face block, filled with concrete. gave the city 8” solid walls, cutting down on the passage of sound to the outside. Romtec provided a large roll-up door and commercial shatter-proof lighting. A custom ventilation system provides adequate air-flow to ensure that air is circulated and replaced six times every hour. The heavy-duty steel ridge beam was engineered to also accommodate a hoist for lifting heavy equipment or pumps from the well. Romtec provided the town with an attractive split-face block building that meets all the needs of the water well treatment equipment. It is super secure both inside and out with heavy duty fixtures, and materials to stand up to high commercial demands.
