The Project
The city of Kalama, Washington installed a new wastewater lift station. Since the site was already in a fenced-in and secure location, they did not require a full utility building for the lift station controls and electrical control equipment. Instead they asked Romtec for a simple shelter that would provide cover for the panels and equipment, protecting them from the sun or rain, whatever the conditions might be.
The Solution
Romtec designed an 8’ x 11’ steel framed shelter with a metal roof and concrete slab. The shelter provides excellent coverage for control panels and electrical control equipment, as well as for employees that may have to access the equipment in inclement weather. Romtec provided the city with a very simple and extremely inexpensive solution to their needs. The equipment is protected from direct rain as well as the hot summer sun. The materials will stand up to any condition for a very long time. The shelter is an example of Romtec’s unique ability to design and provide a custom solution to a customer’s unique needs.
