For this amphitheater restroom building, Romtec designed and supplied a unique structure that met the City of Connersville’s Market Street Plaza project needs. The amphitheater restroom building features two single user ADA restrooms, storage space, and a large amphitheater that is home to live music, community events, and a farmer’s market.
We designed this unique community event amphitheater restroom building with various glulam beams, glulam rafters, an architectural comp roof, and CMU split face concrete block wall. The new amphitheater is home to many community events and is a welcome addition to Connersville, which is the only incorporated city in Fayette County and home to the county’s farmer’s market.
Connersville, Indiana is a city in Fayette County that is about 60 miles east of Indianapolis. The population in Connersville was 13,324 as of the 2020 census.
It is the county seat of Fayette County and only incorporated city within the county.
It is known as a city in a large rural area in eastern Indiana while the Ohio border is about 20 miles east of Connersville.
Cincinnati is about 60 miles to the southeast of Connersville.
The city is one of the oldest in Indiana as it was founded in 1813 by its founder John Conner.
Market Street Plaza is a venue for live music located in downtown Connersville that hosts concerts, events, and the Fayette County Farmer’s Market.
Live Music Amphitheater
The City of Connersville wanted a new downtown Connersville Market Street Plaza to host the various community events.
This Romtec design was a unique amphitheater restroom combo that had two ADA single user restrooms, a mechanical room, two storage rooms, and an amphitheater space with a covered roof extension.
The amphitheater restroom building features an Ownes Corning architectural composition roof, Intermatic photocell under roof overhang, fascia board, American Laminators glulam beams, CMU split face concrete block wall, Romtec gable vents, steel posts, glulam rafter to support light bar and equipment, tongue and groove decking, Hager door closers, ProFlo toilets and lavatories, Eaton load center and circuit breaker, ThinAir hand dryer, AO Smith electric water heater, Lithonia lighting, Steelcraft doors, and concrete steps and walkway.
Downtown Amphitheater and Restroom Building
The City of Connersville is a first-time customer and North Tennessee Constructors, LLC is a contractor Romtec often uses for installation of our structures. North Tennessee Constructors is a reliable and consistent installer with superior craftmanship located in Alexandria, TN.
We worked with North Tennessee Constructors (NTC) on the North Overlook Campground, Cos Cob Park, NH Scott Pool Renovation Project, and Midway Park projects.
Butler, Fairman & Seufert, Inc is an engineer that worked with the city on this project, while the general contractor was GM Development. Butler, Fairman & Seufert, Inc provides outstanding civil engineering services to governments and businesses based in Carmel, Indiana. GM Development is a construction company based in Springport, Indiana.
The City of Connersville was pleased with the finished product from Romtec, which provides a unique community space for events, live music concerts, and the farmer’s market. This was a unique building that features two single user restrooms, storage spaces, and the amphitheater space that has steel posts and glulam rafters.
