The City of Bremerton, Washington received a grant to renovate Manette Park which included replacing the playground, restroom, picnic shelter, and sports court. This gave the city the opportunity to update the park, adding modern amenities and active play equipment.
The 1.7-acre neighborhood park is located next to the Bremerton Senior Center and overlooks the Puget Sound from the west.
The City of Bremerton installed LED playfield lighting for a multi-purpose playing field, along with walking paths, ADA parking, and landscaping. Manette Park also includes a basketball court and tennis courts. Adding a new restroom along with all the other upgrades tied the entire renovation together, giving it a fresh and updated aesthetic.
Romtec designed and supplied a Model 2022 two-unit unisex restroom for the City of Bremerton with a mechanical room in the middle of the building. This is a duplicate of a restroom that the city previously completed with Romtec.
Cities are commonly duplicating buildings or matching the exterior of other buildings in parks systems to help keep a cohesive look and maintenance schedule.
The restroom features CMU concrete block, glulam beams, gable vents, tongue and groove decking, and a metal roof.
Parametrix was the project engineer while Sound Pacific Construction installed the restroom on behalf of the City of Bremerton. Adding a beautiful restroom building during a round of park improvements can elevate the experience and appearance of a park for its users.

This is such good news for anyone who enjoys Manette Park! Having a restroom nearby makes park visits so much easier, especially for families with kids. It’s one of those little upgrades that truly enhances the whole experience. 🌳 I know a lot of locals and visitors alike love to spend the afternoon here, so this addition feels like it’s been a long time coming. I’m curious, did they improve any other parts of the park, too, like playground equipment or picnic areas? Hoping this project inspires more upgrades in our other parks around Bremerton!
