The Lower Nazareth Township added a splash pad to Newburg Park thanks to a state grant that funded the upgrade, so the township decided to add a restroom building nearby to accompany it.

Newburg Park Upgrades
Lower Nazareth Township added the splash pad after receiving a grant from the state through the Act 13 Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program. As part of the development of Newburg Community Park, Lower Nazareth Township installed a splash pad area, which is 71’ x 75’ with a generous buffer of grass surrounding it along with ADA-compliant paths that are 6 feet in width to enable better access for people of all abilities.

Key features of the Romtec Model 2043 Sierra 4-pak modified restroom is a Fabral metal roof, Hager door closers, Kohler toilets, Proflo lavatories, Lithonia lighting, mini split AC system, solar tubes, kick resistant door louvers, CMU split face concrete block wall, Cultured Stone ledgestone, Steelcraft doors, and a mechanical room.

For families at splash pads or pools, single user restrooms are very beneficial as it allows a family to have privacy, security, and accessibility compared to a multiuser restroom. A single user restroom as was used for this splash pad addition restroom, this allows a parent to have all their children in one private restroom where they can change alone instead of sending children into a multiuser restroom.

The mini split system AC system temperature controls in the restroom building, cooling down the building during the hot summer months, when the splash pad is being utilized.
