Estacada is in Clackamas County with the Clackamas River flowing through the city.
A main attraction in Estacada is the Estacada Lake where the Clackamas River is dammed by the River Mill Dam which is a hydroelectric producing project. The community can take paddle boards, rafts, or kayaks onto the lake for recreational activities. Estacada is located about 30 miles southeast of Portland and about 40 miles from Mt. Hood, which sits to the east.
The City of Estacada was formed in 1905 as a camp for those working on building the hydroelectric dam on the Clackamas River. The Oregon Power Railway Company had to build a railroad to the city as it was inaccessible by road to transport crews for construction. The city later became a weekend destination on the railroad line for residents of Portland.
Logging became a main industry in Estacada after various dams were put in place. Nearby is Milo McIver State Park that sits along the Clackamas River which is a popular camping destination that features hiking trails and boat ramps.
The newly established Wade Creek Park in Estacada, Oregon is the city’s first park that has covered picnic areas, a playground, horseshoe pits, a sand volleyball court, a skate park, and restrooms.
The park was built on a gorgeous plot of land, and to complement this, Romtec provided a restroom building with a beautiful timber scissor truss. Among the usual picnickers, this building also provides the nearby skatepark with two ADA restrooms and drinking fountains.
The Romtec restroom building features a metal roof, Lexan windows, timber scissor truss, roof extension, and steel vents.
A recent expansion of the park that reaches behind the Estacada Public Library created a new nature trail, viewing area, exercise stations, picnic tables, and a new Wade Creek Community Room.
This Romtec restroom building provides Wade Creek Park in Estacada with a beautiful building that fits the surrounding wooded park. If you have a restroom building you need to be built, contact Romtec today. We can design and supply a custom building to fit your park needs.
