Romtec designs, supplies, and constructs new buildings, and we are always looking for new ways to lower costs for our customers. Our engineering and production teams at Romtec work hard every day to increase our capabilities for providing low-cost buildings and structures for any application with a low budget. During tough economic stretches, Romtec developed better pricing and better value engineering for our customers on every structure we sell.
Redesigning Building Models to Lower Costs
The first way we cut costs is by periodically redesigning our complete offering of building models. We look at every floor plan and improve the layouts, reduce the materials cost, and include lower cost options when possible. Romtec has a great reputation for supplying the nation’s best restroom buildings, and that is an identity we take pride in. When redesigning our buildings, our staff takes great care to ensure that cost and not quality is what we reduce.
Finding Vendors with Better Pricing
The second way that Romtec cuts the cost of our buildings to stay within budget is by doing ongoing industry research to find vendors with better pricing. Nearly every week our engineering, quoting, and production personnel find new low-cost options for faucets, hinges, roofing screws, hand dryers, and many more building materials and components. While some of these components may only be a few dollars cheaper, the total sum of this work helps to greatly reduce the overall cost of our buildings. Many times the products we use remain unchanged in this process; they’re simply purchased from a more competitive vendor.
Purchasing Materials Locally
The second way that Romtec cuts the cost of our buildings to stay within budget is by doing ongoing industry research to find vendors with better pricing. Nearly every week our engineering, quoting, and production personnel find new low-cost options for faucets, hinges, roofing screws, hand dryers, and many more building materials and components. While some of these components may only be a few dollars cheaper, the total sum of this work helps to greatly reduce the overall cost of our buildings. Many times the products we use remain unchanged in this process; they’re simply purchased from a more competitive vendor.
Another ongoing way that we reduce the cost of our buildings is by connecting with building material suppliers across the country. Then, we can drastically reduce our shipping costs of heavy building materials like concrete block by drop shipping them from a location closer to each construction site nationally. Since Romtec uses conventional construction materials on most of our buildings, we consistently find reliable and well-manufactured products nationwide to lower shipping costs.
Communicating Efficiently
The final way we work to lower our building prices is by improving our internal working efficiency. This is accomplished by improving our documentation and internal communications so that we can pass on time savings to our customers. It takes us less time now to review and change our building designs. We’ve heavily invested over recent years in new software to increase our speed and volume of work. These improvements reduce revisions and improve turn around times to help projects move faster and more affordably.
Romtec dedicates all our efforts to giving customers the most for their budget. This is not a one-time fix. We make improving our pricing an ongoing process that never stops to provide the best value to our customers. When you buy a Romtec building, you will get the building you want at the price you need.
