For this splash pad restroom building, Romtec provided a Sierra 4-pak with four single user restrooms, which are ideal for a splash pad or pool for families to have privacy in a single unit. We partnered with the Lower Nazareth Township, to provide this splash pad restroom building, as the municipality added the splash pad to Newburg Park.
The Lower Nazareth Township added a splash pad to Newburg Park thanks to a state grant that funded the upgrade, so the township decided to add a restroom building nearby to accompany it.
Nazareth, Pennsylvania is a borough within Northampton County.
The borough had a population of 6,053 as of the 2020 census but it is within the Lehigh Valley metro area which had a population of 861,899.
Newburg Park has walking trails, open fields, a playground, a splash pad, sport fields, and a restroom.

Newburg Park Upgrades
Lower Nazareth Township added the splash pad after receiving a grant from the state through the Act 13 Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program. As part of the development of Newburg Community Park, Lower Nazareth Township installed a splash pad area, which is 71’ x 75’ with a generous buffer of grass surrounding it along with ADA-compliant paths that are 6 feet in width to enable better access for people of all abilities.
Lower Nazareth Township reached out to work directly with us to provide a restroom building for Newburg Park in Nazareth Township, PA.
Key features of the Romtec Model 2043 Sierra 4-pak modified restroom is a Fabral metal roof, Hager door closers, Kohler toilets, Proflo lavatories, Lithonia lighting, mini split AC system, solar tubes, kick resistant door louvers, CMU split face concrete block wall, Cultured Stone ledgestone, Steelcraft doors, and a mechanical room.
The four single user restrooms are ideal in a splash pad setting for families as it provides a single room for them to change, while offering security, privacy, and accessibility compared to a multi user restroom.

Splash Pad Restroom Community Park
For families at splash pads or pools, single user restrooms are very beneficial as it allows a family to have privacy, security, and accessibility compared to a multiuser restroom. A single user restroom as was used for this splash pad addition restroom, this allows a parent to have all their children in one private restroom where they can change alone instead of sending children into a multiuser restroom.
This is a safety feature, while also providing privacy, and accessibility for the family to all be in one room.
The mini split system AC system temperature controls in the restroom building, cooling down the building during the hot summer months, when the splash pad is being utilized.
The restroom building is a great addition at Newburg Park in the Lower Nazareth Township, in PA. To accommodate the users of the splash pad, along with visitors at the park, a 4-pak restroom was designed and supplied by Romtec for this project.
