Restroom Buildings

When your city, town, or village needs new or replacement park restroom buildings, you have an opportunity to avoid the design constraints of prefab structures found in many public spaces. Romtec designs and supplies plans and specifications as well as the materials to build restroom buildings that can complement your public park with custom styles suited to the site location. You’ll have all the specifics you need for a bid process or for direct purchase of materials and construction services for a turnkey project.

We also construct shower buildings for outdoor public spaces like municipal pools and campgrounds, as well as sidewalk restrooms that help keep city streets more sanitary. We’ll work with you to assess your needs and provide a design that meets them. Our buildings combine functionality with aesthetic appeal that motivates users to use the buildings respectfully and keep them free of trash and graffiti. Each project is engineered for durability, easy maintenance, and long-term value, ensuring your investment serves the community for decades. With options for sustainable materials, ADA compliance, and energy-efficient systems, Romtec delivers reliable, attractive restroom facilities tailored to your unique environment.

Waterless Restrooms

When the site needs an attractive restroom but can’t supply water, our waterless restrooms are the solution. Romtec offers a wide range of waterless restroom options, including site-built buildings for a more durable and permanent structure with a range of exterior designs or smaller, prefabricated restrooms that can be dropped in place. Romtec’s SST (Sweet Smelling Technology) will keep the restroom smelling fresh and ensure a bearable experience for users. These systems are ideal for remote parks, trailheads, and natural areas where traditional plumbing isn’t available, providing a sanitary and environmentally responsible solution without sacrificing comfort or appearance.

All Gender Restrooms

Park and recreation agencies were among the first organizations to prioritize accessibility, creating ADA-compliant spaces and developing playgrounds that can be enjoyed by children of all abilities. As expectations around inclusivity continue to evolve, many industry leaders are now turning their attention to restroom facilities and seeking solutions that better serve a wider range of users. All-gender restroom designs are becoming an important part of this effort, offering greater privacy, safety, and convenience for individuals and families.

I have to mention that aside from the products Romtec supplies and the workmanship of the subcontractors (Ken and crew), I’m also very impressed with your responsiveness to issues – you’re a far cry from the usual taillight warranty.

You get what you pay for. Romtec provided the most perfect, seamless, flawless project I could have imagined. I would use Romtec 100 times over and will not consider any other options moving forward. You were able to beat my original budget and expectations. Everyone involved was great from sales to construction management, to the construction team themselves.

If I were to do this again, I would no doubt hire Romtec and its subcontractors to do the installation. Hindsight is always 20/20 and I learned a valuable lesson that I will hire Romtec’s certified installers to do the construction.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Dan Keagy (Romtec’s assistant construction manager). He in my opinion went above and beyond to solve our problems and problems that were not necessarily his or Romtec’s to solve. He is a great guy and great resource for Romtec. Overall, the biggest thing to me was the service after the sale. Romtec didn’t just make the sale and move on, but they supported us through a very long and arduous construction process.

City of Spearfish

Romtec was phenomenal when it came to service after the sale. They were available anytime there were questions. In addition, there were some issues with missing materials. Even though it was not Romtec’s fault for the missing materials, the were more than willing to send us the missing materials to get the project done. Romtec even sent out a representative to tour the site to give firsthand recommendations on how to proceed.
