The Project
Ronald Bridges Park is a neighborhood park located in the heart of a residential community in Union City Georgia. Over the past three years Ronald Bridges Park has been under construction with some great improvements. As part of First Lady Michelle Obama’s campaign “Let’s Move,” a new park playground has been built. Along with the outstanding new playground, Ronald Bridges Park wanted a new restroom and pavilion to be added to the undergoing construction. They wanted a custom design that would fit right in with the brand new look of the park. The pavilion needed to match the new restroom and needed to have power to it so that the park was able to rent the structure out for events. The restroom needed to be easy to maintain equipped with a mechanical room to store cleaning supplies and equipment. The mechanical room needed to be equipped with a utility sink for clean-up.
The Solution
Romtec worked with Union City and got right to work designing an aesthetically pleasing multi-user restroom and pavilion that residents and local businesses can rent for their special occasions such as, parties, weddings, corporate events and other functions. These two picturesque structures are perfect for that outdoor escape in Union City, GA and met all the requirements the park was requesting. Romtec designed a custom Sierra IV Multi-User restroom and a large dimensional wood pavilion. Both structures were updated with a stone-veneer wainscot and post bases, board and batten siding, and tongue and groove roofing. Even inside city limits, this park and these Romtec structures will make you feel miles away.
