The Project
The City of West Orange, NJ just finished building their beautiful African Safari themed mini golf course. The mini golf course has become a very popular attraction since it opened a little over 3 years ago. With the mini golf course becoming so popular, the City of West Orange wanted to add a restroom/concession stand. They wanted this new building to fit right in with the African Safari theme that the miniature golf course had, and needed to meet the needs for all of its patrons and be ADA accessible.
The Solution
Romtec designed a one of a kind building to fit the special requirements the City of West Orange required. They designed a Sierra IV restroom and concession building that was uniquely designed with log structure, thatched roof and African tribal decorations to match the safari theme of the adjacent Essex County mini GOLF Safari. Today the building serves as an admission stand, a rental area for golf clubs and balls, a concession stand, and of course a beautiful restroom facility and storage area. Romtec had the pleasure of working with French & Parello on behalf of Essex County in designing the unique restroom concession building that fit with the specific settings at Turtleback Zoo. This building offered Romtec the opportunity to utilize our creativity in the design and look needed for the project.
