Everett, Washington Downtown Farmer’s Market Sidewalk Restroom

Romtec provided the City of Everett a downtown farmer’s market sidewalk restroom. The new downtown farmer’s market sidewalk restroom will enhance the nearby Everpark Garage near the farmer’s market that hosts shoppers, workers, and visitors to the downtown Everett area.

The sidewalk restroom product is a highly ventilated and vandal resistant restroom that enhances urban areas.

Everett, Washington is the most populous city in Snohomish County along with being the county seat.

Located 25 miles north of Seattle, Everett sits on the Puget Sound and one of the main cities in the Seattle metropolitan area. The city had a population of 110,629 as of the 2020 census making it the seventh most populous city in Washington.

The Snohomish River runs through Everett at the Inlet of Possession Sound, known as Port Gardner. Interstate 5 connects Everett with Seattle and the various surrounding communities in northwest Washington.

The City of Everett owns the Everpark Garage, which has 494 parking spots near the local farmers market for visitors, shoppers, and local workers. The market and parking garage are located very close to the downtown Everett area. Nearby attractions to the Everpark Garage include the Schack Art Center, Imagine Children’s Museum, Village Theater, Angel of the Winds Arena, and the Library Place.

The City of Everett

The City of Everett contacted Romtec and needed two sidewalk restrooms near their downtown farmer’s market close to the Everpark Garage. After sending budgetary estimates for the City of Everett, they responded with wanting to direct purchase the two sidewalk restrooms to start with for “supply only” using Sourcewell.

Installation was carried out by their preapproved job order contractors, Burton Construction. The City of Everett wanted Romtec to modify the sidewalk restroom to have freeze protection on the plumbing and toilet fixture. Heat tape was included on plumbing and the inner wall of the toilet bowl as they do have some occurrences of below freezing temperatures.

Romtec worked quickly once the signed purchase order was received in order to meet the needs of the city with their goal of a summer installation. The Romtec sidewalk restrooms for Everett are based on the design of our standard sidewalk restroom model 4001.

The single user sidewalk restroom features a toilet, Steelcraft doors, Hager door closers and locks, Metcraft toilets, Lithonia lighting, a trench drain, louvered vents for ventilation, and a navy-blue paint on the entire steel structure.

Downtown Sidewalk Restroom

With downtown events throughout the year held nearby, the sidewalk restroom is a very useful addition to the area.

The Downtown Everett Association manages the parking garage for the City of Everett.

These sidewalk restrooms are a great addition near the Everpark Garage, the Everett Farmer’s Market, and the downtown Everett area to service the community for events and shoppers.

Romtec designs, supplies, and constructs restrooms for cities and municipalities all over the country to meet the specific needs of the location, park, or field.

Downtown Parking Garage Restroom

We were excited to partner with the City of Everett and Burton Construction to bring these sidewalk restrooms to Everpark Garage near the Everett Farmer’s Market in Everett, Washington. They are useful restrooms that allow additional restroom space along city blocks in the downtown Everett area to help service visitors, workers, or shoppers.

Burton Construction Inc. Is a construction company based in Spokane, Washington with offices in Renton.

The sidewalk restroom is a highly ventilated restroom that is vandal resistant as it utilizes vandal proof fixtures, along with a design that promotes quick use of the restroom. The vents allow law enforcement to see if someone is inside using the restroom or occupying the building for too long. The sidewalk restroom is ideal for downtown city areas or highly walkable areas.

For this downtown farmer’s market sidewalk restroom, we designed the restroom to meet the needs of this unique parking garage location in downtown Everett near the Everett Farmer’s Market. At Romtec we can design the restroom to meet the specific needs of the site, location, and project to ensure all facets of the job are met.

We can design, supply, and build a restroom building that will serve your urban downtown area, farmer’s market, or parking garage to enhance the space for visitors, shoppers, and locals alike.

I have to mention that aside from the products Romtec supplies and the workmanship of the subcontractors (Ken and crew), I’m also very impressed with your responsiveness to issues – you’re a far cry from the usual taillight warranty.

You get what you pay for. Romtec provided the most perfect, seamless, flawless project I could have imagined. I would use Romtec 100 times over and will not consider any other options moving forward. You were able to beat my original budget and expectations. Everyone involved was great from sales to construction management, to the construction team themselves.

If I were to do this again, I would no doubt hire Romtec and its subcontractors to do the installation. Hindsight is always 20/20 and I learned a valuable lesson that I will hire Romtec’s certified installers to do the construction.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Dan Keagy (Romtec’s assistant construction manager). He in my opinion went above and beyond to solve our problems and problems that were not necessarily his or Romtec’s to solve. He is a great guy and great resource for Romtec. Overall, the biggest thing to me was the service after the sale. Romtec didn’t just make the sale and move on, but they supported us through a very long and arduous construction process.

Romtec was phenomenal when it came to service after the sale. They were available anytime there were questions. In addition, there were some issues with missing materials. Even though it was not Romtec’s fault for the missing materials, the were more than willing to send us the missing materials to get the project done. Romtec even sent out a representative to tour the site to give firsthand recommendations on how to proceed.
