Romtec was proud to provide three multipurpose restroom buildings for Sky Ridge Sports Complex for the City of Spearfish in South Dakota. Spearfish is a city in South Dakota in Lawrence County and the largest city in the county.
The city had a population of 12,193 as of the 2020 census making it the tenth biggest city in South Dakota.
Black Hills State University is in Spearfish.
The Black Hills Gold Rush reached a peak in 1876 when the City of Spearfish was founded at the mouth of Spearfish Canyon.
Spearfish is on the western edge of South Dakota near the Wyoming border.
Mount Rushmore is a major tourist attraction with four former U.S. presidents carved into the side of a mountain. This attraction is about 70 miles southeast of Spearfish.

Sky Ridge Sports Complex in Spearfish, South Dakota is a unique 40-acre sports complex with four softball fields, six soccer fields, concession buildings, park shelters, and a playground. There is lighting on the softball fields and one soccer field, along with 450 parking spots, and parking for food trucks.
The City of Spearfish estimated that Sky Ridge Sports Complex will draw 80,000 visitors to Spearfish each year for the regular season, league, and large tournament games.
The concession and restroom buildings feature multiuser restrooms, a concession room, two concession windows, a family restroom, mechanical room, meeting room, and a storage room, making this a multi-functional facility for operators and visitors alike.
Design features include a metal roof, CMU split face concrete block wall, gable end fiber cement lap siding, rough sawn glulam truss with a roof extension.
Romtec was asked to provide three structures for this new park to create a great environment for visitors. These structures included two concession/restroom buildings along with one smaller restroom.

The City of Spearfish created this amazing new sports complex to draw in more tournaments to support the 400 youth soccer players, 150 youth softball players, and over 600 adult softball players that call Spearfish their home.
Romtec designed the restroom and concession buildings to match each other and create the same aesthetic throughout the park. The restrooms and concessions provide the necessary space and setup to provide concessions for large tournaments and events in the City of Spearfish.
