A repeat customer, The City of Longview previously worked with our sister company, Romtec Utilities, on the Mt. Solo project.

The City of Longview received a grant for $300,000 to add a new restroom to the Vandercook Park project.

The Sidewalk restroom building was selected for Vandercook Park. The City of Longview handled the site work and utilities for the project, and Romtec installed the sidewalk restroom through our turnkey services.

The City of Longview purchased the sidewalk restroom utilizing Sourcewell. Romtec provided the designsupply, and installation of the Sidewalk restroom for Vandercook Park on behalf of the City of Longview.

Romtec worked with the city on the building design and design requirements.

The sidewalk restroom features louvered vents with expanded metal on the interior side, providing visibility into the restroom. This is primarily for security reasons and to provide an accessible restroom quickly.

The single-user restroom has limited features, which is ideal for urban areas with a high amount of traffic or pedestrians. The limited features help deter vandalism and provide the basics of a restroom.

There is also a wall mount red security light which is controlled by an occupancy sensor inside the restroom. This added feature allows police, security, or other users the ability to know if the restroom is in use.

Romtec was proud to provide this sidewalk restroom for Vandercook Park for the City of Longview.

The modern, urban design uses sleek metal exterior and louvered vents all around the structure for ventilation.

Romtec designs, supplies, and constructs restroom buildings for parks and cities all over the country to meet the specific needs of each project and location. These needs may include consideration of the local surroundings, climate, building codes, and owners’ preferences which Romtec uses to create the restroom building.

We can design a restroom to match other buildings or to match a certain design aesthetic. Our team of designers can work to meet the exact specifications of a park to optimize usage during peak times while creating a beautiful building that blends into the surrounding park or area.

I have to mention that aside from the products Romtec supplies and the workmanship of the subcontractors (Ken and crew), I’m also very impressed with your responsiveness to issues – you’re a far cry from the usual taillight warranty.

You get what you pay for. Romtec provided the most perfect, seamless, flawless project I could have imagined. I would use Romtec 100 times over and will not consider any other options moving forward. You were able to beat my original budget and expectations. Everyone involved was great from sales to construction management, to the construction team themselves.

If I were to do this again, I would no doubt hire Romtec and its subcontractors to do the installation. Hindsight is always 20/20 and I learned a valuable lesson that I will hire Romtec’s certified installers to do the construction.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Dan Keagy (Romtec’s assistant construction manager). He in my opinion went above and beyond to solve our problems and problems that were not necessarily his or Romtec’s to solve. He is a great guy and great resource for Romtec. Overall, the biggest thing to me was the service after the sale. Romtec didn’t just make the sale and move on, but they supported us through a very long and arduous construction process.

Romtec was phenomenal when it came to service after the sale. They were available anytime there were questions. In addition, there were some issues with missing materials. Even though it was not Romtec’s fault for the missing materials, the were more than willing to send us the missing materials to get the project done. Romtec even sent out a representative to tour the site to give firsthand recommendations on how to proceed.
