Randolph, New Jersey Veterans Memorial Park Restroom

For this veteran’s memorial park restroom, Romtec partnered with the Township of Randolph, New Jersey to provide a building that fit the needs of this new park. The veteran’s memorial park restroom includes a multiuser toilet area with storage space and exterior that blends beautifully with the country backdrop.

The restroom features a composition roof, board and batten siding, stone veneer, and a 6’ timber truss roof extension. The Romtec designed and supplied restroom building was brought to us by French and Parello who we have worked with on numerous projects before. They were developing the park with the Township of Randolph. The addition of this new park, which has a community garden, walking trails, a veterans memorial area, and a band shell, is a great gathering place for community events.

The Township of Randolph, New Jersey is in southwest Morris County, about 40 miles northwest of New York.

As part of a Master Plan update by the Township of Randolph, it was determined that there was a need for a community park that was not solely designed around active athletic fields.

The goal was conceived to create a park that would invite members of the community to participate in non-sport recreation such as township events, light exercise, educational programs, gardening, walking, and other uses. The creation of this type of park would help provide recreation for all township residents in Randolph. The township relied on feedback from the community for the creation of the amenities at the park.

French and Parello contacted us for a restroom building to use at a new park in Randolph, NJ. We worked with them on the preliminary stages and finalized the design to fit their project needs at Veterans Community Park.

This new park with a variety of different activities and amenities that were not in other parks within the township, makes the park a welcome addition that has become very popular for residents in the area.

The Romtec restroom building, which we designed and supplied, makes the various spaces, community garden, paved trails, pickleball courts, band shell, and memorial area even more useful, friendly and comfortable.

This restroom building blends seamlessly into the surroundings of this natural park that was created to provide new activities for its community in the Township of Randolph. We designed it to match a specific aesthetic that the Township of Randolph and French and Parello wanted.

We worked with the Township of Randolph on the budget, timeline, turnaround, features, and layout to provide a restroom building that can handle larger community events, the community garden, veteran memorial services, and other township events. Also included was a storage room that provides space for the township to store materials or equipment for the operations and maintenance of the Veterans Community Park.

I have to mention that aside from the products Romtec supplies and the workmanship of the subcontractors (Ken and crew), I’m also very impressed with your responsiveness to issues – you’re a far cry from the usual taillight warranty.

You get what you pay for. Romtec provided the most perfect, seamless, flawless project I could have imagined. I would use Romtec 100 times over and will not consider any other options moving forward. You were able to beat my original budget and expectations. Everyone involved was great from sales to construction management, to the construction team themselves.

If I were to do this again, I would no doubt hire Romtec and its subcontractors to do the installation. Hindsight is always 20/20 and I learned a valuable lesson that I will hire Romtec’s certified installers to do the construction.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Dan Keagy (Romtec’s assistant construction manager). He in my opinion went above and beyond to solve our problems and problems that were not necessarily his or Romtec’s to solve. He is a great guy and great resource for Romtec. Overall, the biggest thing to me was the service after the sale. Romtec didn’t just make the sale and move on, but they supported us through a very long and arduous construction process.

Romtec was phenomenal when it came to service after the sale. They were available anytime there were questions. In addition, there were some issues with missing materials. Even though it was not Romtec’s fault for the missing materials, the were more than willing to send us the missing materials to get the project done. Romtec even sent out a representative to tour the site to give firsthand recommendations on how to proceed.
