The city sits along U.S. Route 90 and close to Interstate 69, which runs towards Houston. It had a population of 11,627 during the 2020 census.

The owner of the residential neighborhood, known as Veranda, is HW 589 Holdings, LLC and Johnson Development. Johnson Development is a commercial and residential real estate developer based out of Houston, Texas.
The Veranda community features a recreation center called the Cottage House, a family friendly pool, fitness center, a splash pad, playgrounds, hiking and biking trails, a yoga lawn, a spa, a dog park, and the tennis courts.
Clark Condon Associates is the landscape architect who worked on the design of Veranda Wild Blue Park. They contacted Romtec to provide the restroom building that would suit the park’s needs. Clark Condon is a landscape architecture firm based out of Houston, Texas.
Key features of the Romtec 2024 Sierra II Compact restroom include two unisex restrooms, a mechanical room that serves as a multipurpose space, metal roofing, 8″ x 16″ CMU painted smooth face concrete block wall, vent boots, gable vents, and glulam ridge beams. The restroom building has a plumbing wall, and the mechanical space is intended to contain IT equipment.
Millis Development & Construction installed the compact restroom building at Wild Blue Park and specializes in commercial construction projects that have a landscape architect as the lead consultant. They provide clients with quality large-scale parks, recreation centers, bridges, hardscape, and landscape.
