The City of Pittsburg developed a new park called Giacomelli Park which consists of two-acres sitting between the Vista Del Mar and San Marco communities.
The park was completed in 2018 and honors Pittsburg Police Inspector Raymond Giacomelli who lost his life in the line of duty.
Giacomelli Park features a playground, dog park, gazebo, picnic tables, soccer field, restrooms, and BBQ grills.
This was a developer driven project by Discovery Builders that will be owned by the City of Pittsburg. Discovery Builders wanted the restroom facility at Giacomelli Park to match the previous San Marco 6 Acre Park Project which they completed with Romtec. Discovery Builders builds high end homes and communities in the region.
The project was awarded to the general contractor, Bay Area Greenscapes. The Owner, Developer, and General Contractor were all repeat customers. Bay Area Greenscapes provides landscaping services in the Bay Area.
Romtec provided turnkey services for this project where we designed, supplied, and built the ADA all-gender restroom building for the City of Pittsburg, California. The restroom features a metal roof, CMU split face concrete block wall running bond pattern siding, gable vents, and a mechanical room.
At Romtec, we were honored to be a part of this park project that was dedicated to Raymond Giacomelli. We hope that this new park space provides a place for visitors to rest and recreate while also remembering his legacy.
