Aztec is a city in New Mexico and the county seat of San Juan County in the northwest region of the state.
The Animas River runs through the city near where State Route 550 and State Route 516 intersect in Aztec. There is an Aztec Ruins National Monument with old structures and a museum of the ancestral Puebloan Indian site.
There is the Aztec Motocross Track, Riverside Park, Aztec Visitor Center, the Aztec Skatepark, Aztec Museum, Pioneer Park, and Minium Park in Aztec, New Mexico.
In Aztec, New Mexico, residents got another way to beat the heat with a new splash pad at Minium Park which is Northeast of the city municipal complex. Minium Park has a playground, splash ‘N’ play water park, two covered pavilions and uncovered picnic areas, and ADA-accessible restrooms near the splash park.
With expiring grant money, the City of Aztec needed a quick and affordable building to provide restrooms for the visitors to the Minium Park Splash Pad.
The building also needed to provide a mechanical room for the splash pad equipment and controls.
A standard split-faced concrete block building was supplied by Romtec to be both cost-effective and easy to install.
In a short timeframe, Romtec provided the City of Aztec with stamped building plans, a complete building kit, and documentation and instructions for contractor installation of the Minium Park public restroom.
The multiuser restroom features a mechanical room, metal roofing, skylights, mesh vents, ridge vents, and a privacy wall.
Romtec was happy to provide this restroom design for the City of Aztec at Minium Park to complete a restroom building quickly while also fulfilling the needs of the project.
